[theqoo] BTS Jin left out of the ‘Arirang’ credits alone… ‘This makes no sense’ fandom in uproar

BTS held a full-group live broadcast on the 20th to celebrate the release of their 5th full album ‘ARIRANG’.

While talking about the album, RM said, ‘Everyone’s color is in it,’ and added, ‘Honestly, if Jin hyung had finished his tour a bit earlier, he would’ve joined too,’ showing some regret.

V also explained, ‘There was time for us to work together, but his condition wasn’t great. He was constantly on tour,’ and RM agreed, saying, ‘Hyung went through a lot. It was a shame.’

Jimin added, ‘Thanks to him holding the team together, we were able to release this album,’ and Jin simply said, ‘I’m glad there are so many great songs.’

When the members went to the U.S. for a group “song camp” to work on the new album, Jin—who had already been discharged and was doing solo activities—was busy with his tour schedule. Because the timing overlapped, Jin ultimately didn’t get credited on ‘ARIRANG’.

Some fans reacted like, ‘Couldn’t they have delayed the song camp?’, ‘How do you even adjust a pre-planned tour?’, ‘The overlap doesn’t make sense,’ ‘It kinda feels like they’re blaming Jin,’ ‘I’ve never seen Seokjin look like that before,’ ‘That’s too much,’ etc.

There are also complaints that even though Jin joined the U.S. later after finishing his tour, the album work had already been completed by then.

1. Credits = royalties, got itㅋㅋㅋ Splitting the profits among 6 is more than splitting it 7 ways, right?

2. It’s their first full-group album after military hiatus… they’re not some rookie company, so why schedule it like that? At this point, if it’s not intentional, it honestly makes no sense…

3. Credits are given for actual participation—wouldn’t it be weirder to include someone just for the sake of appearances? Fans are lowkey disrespecting the creative process. Even if everyone participates, if it’s not the best fit, you don’t get picked, that’s how credits have always worked. If anything, criticize the company for the messy scheduling, sure. But the whole point people are making is so off. Why are they blaming other members over something caused by scheduling issues? Instead of dragging the group into this mess, go complain to the company

4. Saw this on Threads, but is it true that Jin’s the only one who didn’t attend Global Cyber University?

5. If you’re gonna run a business, at least do it properly… this is what happens when you’re bad at business for real

6. Stop blaming it on schedules… if RM had something, they would’ve postponed it. Using songwriting as a way to rank members has always been a thing, and they’d just shut people up by calling them akgaes. He said he worked on lyrics in September, so he could’ve at least participated then. And honestly, looking at their past work, Jin writes better than the rap line’s kinda childish lyrics sometimes. This time it’s Jin, but if it were V or Jimin joining late, they’d have zero credits too. Throwing in one or two credits just to shut fans up—this pattern is getting old

7. I’m disappointed and upset about this too, but I hate even more how people are using Seokjin to drag BTS and getting all excited in this crazy hate train

8. Feels like this might be BTS’s last album at this rate… what a mess for real

9. In the end, you should be blaming HYBE for not even checking the credits… talking about ‘ostracizing’ him—do they really think that helps their fave? I felt bad at first too and blamed HYBE, but Jin stans are really crossing the line now

10. I didn’t really have any strong feelings about Jin—neither like nor dislike—but after hearing about this, I kinda feel bad for him
